The Hood College has named an American University coach as the new leader of the men’s and women’s swim programs.
Coach Matthew McKenney spent five years at American, working primarily with mid-distance and distance swimmers while also playing a leading role in the team’s recruiting.
This year alone, McKenney saw eight members of his team receive Academic All-District recognition. Throughout his time at American, both the men’s and women’s teams boasted high GPA’s, ranking first and second among the campus.
