A 10-5 finish in 2025 has the Blazers men’s lacrosse team looking to build even more momentum in the upcoming season.

“Though 10-5 is a good record, we believe we can be better and strive to be,” head coach Brad Barber said.

The coaching staff has taken the time to strictly analyze gameday and practice processes to be able to develop a consistent level of play, he said.

“As a staff, we took time in the off-season to find areas that we can evolve in to help us be more consistent in all that we do,” Barber said.

Already coming off a winning season, the coaching staff is confident that the players can help drive this initiative.

“We are confident in the makeup of this group, our defense is led by a group of upperclassmen, and our offense brings stability with returners and a lot of first-year players with a tremendous amount of talent,” Barber said. “I believe we are further along in our preparation for the season than previous years, and that’s a testament to the work our players have put in.”

The Blazers are aiming for yet another winning season and are hopeful to clinch the MAC playoffs for the second time in program history.

“Our upperclassmen have done a great job leading our young players, and we’ve developed a strong confidence in our depth across the board,” Barber said.

The Blazers are back in action on the Thomas Athletic Field on Feb. 25, taking on Goucher College.
