Registration Opens April 13 with New Minors and Courses

By Kylie Lancaster //

Summer and fall 2026 registration will open on Monday, April 13, featuring two new minors in Museum Studies and Marketing.

The Law and Criminal Justice program will open two new courses, Living with Violence: El Salvador (CJ397M) and Police & Community Relations (CJ299B). The course Life After Hood (HOOD400) will also have a second section open for the fall.

Registration begins at 6 a.m. Monday, April 13, for seniors and juniors. Sophomore registration starts on Tuesday, April 14, and first-year registration begins on Wednesday, April 15.

Traci Holland, the college’s registrar, said she believes the most important part of course registration is advising appointments.

“Maximize advising meetings to discuss a plan not just for the upcoming term(s), but the rest of your program,” Holland said. “Mapping out a plan for future semesters in advance alleviates anxiety each semester and provides you with the best opportunity to complete courses in the appropriate sequence.”

The academic advising period will continue through Friday, April 10.

For any additional questions or concerns about registration, contact the registrar’s office at registrar@hood.edu.
