The Library & Learning Commons Café has reopened and is expected to be fully restocked by Thursday, Nov. 21.
The cafe was not restocked for over a month after thieves stole thousands of dollars’ worth of food.
The café reopened with clearer signage about making purchases and integrity expectations for customers.
This decision required collaboration between members of the Hood community, Aramark, and the Student Government Association.
“Over the past several weeks, members of the Hood community and Aramark have worked together to strengthen trust, reinforce accountability, and ensure the behavior in the Café reflects the values of our community,” Dean of Students Demitrius Johnson said in an email addressed to the Hood community on Nov. 6.
Johnson urged the community to report any complications with transactions so the issue can be addressed immediately.
