The Hood College softball team traveled to Florida, while the men’s lacrosse team spent time at the Under Armour headquarters in Baltimore for team bonding activities and competitions over spring break.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe wanted to find something unique with our guys during spring break,\u201d coach Brad Barber said. \u201cThis is a great opportunity to get off campus together and continue to build internal relationships across the board.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Blazers lacrosse team had the opportunity to have a full practice, using Under Armour’s own athletic field. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNot many teams get the chance to experience something like that, so it made us really appreciate the opportunity,\u201d senior Austin Palmer said. \u201cIt brought the team closer together and gave us extra motivation to keep working hard and represent our program the right way.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n
While the lacrosse team stayed local, the softball team headed to Orlando, Florida, for spring break. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOur spring break to the Orlando, Florida, area has a lot of benefits to our team,\u201d coach Terry Burdette said before they left. \u201cMost importantly is having good weather to play some non-conference games and prepare us for MAC play.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Blazers softball team played eight games and won two, defeating Juniata College 6-5 and the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg 9-1. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The trip was paid for with money brought in from camps and clinics the teams holds throughout the summer and fall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
