Students came together to taste international drinks and make holiday crafts as part of the International Education Week celebration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Drinks included matcha, assorted teas and hot chocolate. Music played while students decorated foam gingerbread designs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Why foam gingerbread?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Jasmine Paulino, a volunteer, said real gingerbread wasn\u2019t available online and couldn\u2019t be made on campus because of health and safety rules.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cPeople are always going to be disappointed,\u201d Paulino said when asked if students missed the real thing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sunny Zavala, another volunteer, said organizers wanted to try something new this year. Last year\u2019s event featured gingerbread houses, but this time students decorated flat designs instead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
About 20 people attended the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Hood has hosted International Education Week since 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
