Over 50 students came to support the new art exhibit in Tatem on Feb. 23: an exhibit that features student work.<\/p>\n
The current art exhibit in Tatem soley features artwork from Hood students of several disciplines.<\/p>\n
Over 20 pieces of art are featured in the exhibit, ranging from oil pastels to charcoal drawings to sculptures.\u00a0 Virtually all artistic mediums were featured.<\/p>\n
The opening reception and awards prevention occurred on Feb. 23 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the gallery.<\/p>\n
Student Juan Tuscano-Madrid won first place in the art show with a painting.<\/p>\n
\u201cI really like the artwork featured in the [Tatem] gallery this month.\u00a0 I always stop by to look at the artwork after class.\u00a0 I feel like all of the artists did really good jobs on all of the artwork.,\u201d said sophomore Brittany Gammel.<\/p>\n
This gallery exhibit will run until the end of the month.<\/p>\n
The next scheduled gallery exhibit will occur after classes end for the spring break.<\/p>\n
