{"id":4552,"date":"2021-09-30T11:25:15","date_gmt":"2021-09-30T15:25:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hoodcomstudies.com\/theblueandgrey\/?p=4552"},"modified":"2021-09-30T11:25:21","modified_gmt":"2021-09-30T15:25:21","slug":"hood-to-host-fall-family-weekend","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/theblueandgrey.com\/index.php\/2021\/09\/30\/hood-to-host-fall-family-weekend\/","title":{"rendered":"Hood to host Fall Family Weekend"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">By Zoe Finholm\/\/<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hood College will be hosting Fall Family Weekend Oct. 1-3 and is expecting more than 200 families to be on campus, according to Sarah Tansits,&nbsp;interim director of Student Engagement and Orientation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There will be a variety of events for Hood students and their families to attend, including a scavenger hunt, a Blazer block party, several athletic games and a showing of the film \u201cHocus Pocus.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tansits said there are more than 600 people pre-registered for the weekend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tansits worked with members of&nbsp;Institutional Advancement, Marketing and Communications, and Athletics over the summer break to ensure that the event would have wide appeal. \u201cThere is going to be something for everyone,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In compliance with CDC guidelines, masks will be required in all campus buildings for everyone, regardless of vaccination status.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A detailed schedule of events can be found on Hood\u2019s&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hood.edu\/campus-events\/homecoming-fall-family-weekend\">website<\/a>, including hours for dining services and hotel information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Registration opens for families on Oct. 1 at 8 a.m. on Pergola Connect.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<div class=\"mh-excerpt\"><p>By Zoe Finholm\/\/ Hood College will be hosting Fall Family Weekend Oct. 1-3 and is expecting more than 200 families to be on campus, according to Sarah Tansits,&nbsp;interim director of Student Engagement and Orientation.
