**SPOILERS FOR SEASON 1 OF OUTER BANKS AHEAD**<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Netflix’s original show Outer Banks is b<\/em>ack with the heavily anticipated release of season two.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Season one of Outer Banks<\/em> was released in the summer of 2020 and instantly became one of the top-watched shows on Netflix. The show follows life-long friends John B (Chase Stokes), JJ (Rudy Pankow), Kiara (Madison Bailey) and Pope (Jonathan Daviss) through class struggles and edge-of-your-seat danger as John B leads them on a treasure hunt. The gang stumbles across an abandoned boat that starts their hunt for the treasure that John B\u2019s late father had been in search of 400 million dollars in gold. Their hunt takes a turn when John B\u2019s boss and local businessman, Ward Cameron (Charles Esten) revealed he had been looking for the gold as well, with John B\u2019s father.<\/p>\n\n\n\n After John B, Ward\u2019s daughter Sarah Cameron (Madelyn Cline) and the rest of the gang find the gold, Ward steals it and prepares to fly the gold and Sarah to the Bahamas against her will. But before Ward can take off with Sarah and the gold, John B stops the plane and Sheriff Peterkin (Adina Porter) arrives to assist him. In her attempt to arrest Ward, Peterkin is shot and killed by Sarah\u2019s older brother, Rafe Cameron (Drew Starkey).<\/p>\n\n\n\n The season ends with John B and Sarah on the run from the police after being framed for the murder of Sheriff Peterkin. The two escape on a boat during a severe storm and are soon presumed dead by the police after the boat capsizes. John B and Sarah survive, and hitch a ride on a fishing boat headed for the Bahamas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Season two kicks off with John B and Sarah alive and on their way to the Bahamas, with hopes of recovering the gold. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The second season is filled with more treasure hunting, family drama, teen romance, heartbreak and the unbreakable bonds of friendship. The audience still can find the differentiation of the Kooks (upper class wealthy members of society) and the Pogues (the working class) who are still bitterly separated by class and money.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The question at hand remains who is guilty of killing the town\u2019s beloved sheriff? Was it John B or Rafe Cameron? Who are the police going to believe, the kid from the wrong side of the island or the son of a beloved businessman?<\/p>\n\n\n\n The show itself has an interesting plot and contains many elements that teen dramas do. The clothes they wear, the slang they use, the not-so-typical high school relationships, and a seriously unbelievable story line.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The sophomore season of the teen drama made quite an impact, ranking in the top 10 on Netflix\u2019s charts within 24 hours of its release. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The season leaves the audience on their toes once again, as they eagerly wait for season three.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
