Kozy Dayz, a business established by a Hood student and a Hood graduate, sells clothes that people will \u201cfeel comfortable and confident wearing,\u201d according to their mission statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bryce McCown, a senior business major and Scott Kiewe, class of 2020 graduate, started Kozy Dayz in January 2021, aiming to make comfortable clothes for people in \u201cany walk of life,\u201d McCown said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kozy Dayz strives to be inclusive and wants \u201ceverybody to be able to enjoy the clothing,\u201d Kiewe said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kiewe said that they did a lot of research before launching the brand \u201cto make sure everything was done the legal, ethical and correct way.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kiewe said Kozy Dayz \u201chas a very good foundation\u2026 and wants to be able to donate some of [their] clothes to people that need it in the future.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both Kiewe and McCown said that one of the company\u2019s struggles was finding a logo and name that wasn\u2019t already taken. McCown said that \u201clearning how to get our name out there was harder than I thought it\u2019d be.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cA lot of our success comes out of the fact that we work really well together [and] we inspire one another each day,\u201d Kiewe said. \u201cOur biggest success is being able to see people wearing the clothes that we designed and put together.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
