Hood College’s field hockey team went 1-3 in mid-September, highlighted by a 4-2 win at Neumann.
On Sept. 10, the Blazers fell 5-0 to Shenandoah University. Two days later, at Neumann University in Aston, Pennsylvania, Hood responded with its lone win of the stretch. Ava Snelsire scored her first career goal, while Emma Numme and Kylie Roessler added their first of the season. Kate Haufe converted a penalty stroke, and goalkeeper Allie Wallin made five saves.
The Blazers lost 3-0 to Elizabethtown on Sept. 16 at home. Haufe led Hood with two shots, while Wallin collected eight saves as the Blue Jays finished with 29 shots and 21 penalty corners.
Hood closed the run with a 3-2 road loss to Juniata on Sept. 19. Haufe and Roessler each scored to tie the game twice, but the Eagles netted the winner with four minutes remaining. Morgan Hackett recorded three shots on goal for the Blazers.
Four different players scored for Hood during the stretch, while Wallin totaled 13 saves across the final two contests.
