The Hood College women’s soccer program has added a new face to its coaching staff with the hiring of assistant coach Alicia Window. She joins head coach Molly Kovarick and the Blazers for the 2025 fall season.

Window, a native of Manchester, England, played Division I soccer at George Washington University in Washington, D.C., and competed for Manchester City Football Club for seven years.
She said her coaching career began while playing in the United States.
“I played at home most of my life back in England,” Window said. “I moved to George Washington for a new experience with soccer, and it was through there I started picking up coaching and developing a passion for it. I was looking at assistant positions, and this one stood out.”
That passion has since evolved into a clear purpose.
“Working with players and seeing their development over time — I wanted to do that on a bigger scale in a team environment and stay in the college game, which I really enjoy,” she said.
Before arriving at Hood, Window built an impressive résumé as a player. She spent seven years with the Manchester City academy, where she trained with the first team and made appearances at the top level.
“I was with Manchester City Academy for seven years, training with the first team,” she said. “I got to play with the first team, and it was a surreal experience. It was a great academy, and I was lucky to be there for that long.”
At George Washington, Window had a successful collegiate career. She played all four years, starting all 18 matches in her senior season.
“I had a great experience,” she said. “I came in as a center back, and midway through my freshman year, I became a striker. I enjoyed it a lot there because I could make things happen. I ended up at midfield in my senior year, and living in D.C. — it has everything.”
Window believes her recent playing career helps her connect with the athletes she now coaches.
“Having come right from playing the game, I think I can definitely relay that experience,” she said. “I’ve been in their shoes very recently and can also bring a good competitive drive to the team.”
As of press time, the Blazers are three games into the fall season. Window said she hopes to instill her competitive nature in her players.
“I like to be really good at what I do, and I like to win,” she said.
