Going to college is expensive, and most college students need money.
Many students are always looking for new scholarships and grants to help with college tuition, room and board and other college expenses. Our continuing series will explore scholarships that can help offset the costs.
Daniel K. Shipp Scholarship
This scholarship is available to anyone studying environmental science, fire protection, health physics, industrial engineering, industrial hygiene, occupational health, or safety, who is interested in pursuing a career in occupational safety or industrial hygiene.
Students must be enrolled full-time and have at least one year left before graduation, whether in undergraduate or graduate school.
Applicants must submit official transcripts from their past two years of school, a statement of financial need, an essay responding to the prompt listed on the website, a list and description of extracurricular involvement and two letters of recommendation.

Judy Corman Memorial Scholarship and Internship from Scholastic
This scholarship and internship is for students studying communications or a related field who have a permanent address in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, or Pennsylvania.
Students must have a 3.2 GPA and be enrolled full-time in undergraduate or graduate school. Finally, students must be able to attend an internship in New York City during the summer of 2025.
In addition to filling out the form on the website, applicants must submit two letters of recommendation, one academic and one professional.

WIIT Scholarships
This scholarship is for full-time juniors, seniors, or graduate students who identify as female. Students must be studying a business-related field with an interest in international trade.
Applicants must submit the most recent copy of their transcripts, a fully completed application and a five to ten-page essay, responding to the prompt on the website. Applications must be submitted to the email listed on the information page.
