The Beneficial-Hodson Library will be hosting several events in April to help students prepare for life outside of the classroom.
On Tuesday, April 11, the library will offer a session to teach students how to create and present a poster for academic conferences. The event will provide strategies for distilling research for a poster session and is designed to support students participating in SPIRES on April 20, but it is open to all. The poster preparation session will be held from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. in Library Room 2028.
On Thursday, April 13, Backpack to Briefcase will give students tips about renting an apartment and teach them about rental insurance. The event will be from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. in Library Room 2028.
The final event will be a research party on April 26 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. This will be an opportunity to help students with end-of-the-semester research projects. Librarians and tutors will be on hand to provide help and pizza will be served.
While the librarians are offering to help with work, they also want students to have fun. Earlier this month the library held a game night where students played classic board games.
