World-renowned poet and author Nikki Giovanni will speak at Hood on Feb. 22 at 7 p.m. in the Rosenstock Auditorium.
Considered a significant contributor to the Black Arts Movement, Giovanni has written empowering pieces such as: “Ego-Tripping,” “VOTE,” and “Poem for A Lady Whose Voice I Like.”
Giovanni’s literary works have earned her national accolades like the Rosa Parks Woman of Courage Award and the Langston Hughes Medal for Poetry.
Tickets are free and can be reserved here. A book signing will follow her talk.
