Hood College will be hosting Fall Family Weekend Oct. 1-3 and is expecting more than 200 families to be on campus, according to Sarah Tansits, interim director of Student Engagement and Orientation.
There will be a variety of events for Hood students and their families to attend, including a scavenger hunt, a Blazer block party, several athletic games and a showing of the film “Hocus Pocus.”
Tansits said there are more than 600 people pre-registered for the weekend.
Tansits worked with members of Institutional Advancement, Marketing and Communications, and Athletics over the summer break to ensure that the event would have wide appeal. “There is going to be something for everyone,” she said.
In compliance with CDC guidelines, masks will be required in all campus buildings for everyone, regardless of vaccination status.
A detailed schedule of events can be found on Hood’s website, including hours for dining services and hotel information.
Registration opens for families on Oct. 1 at 8 a.m. on Pergola Connect.
