As we look to the future in the post-pandemic world, we wanted to highlight seniors in the 2021 graduating class. Here are some of their plans:
Madison Cooper
After graduating, I will finish up my internship at Avaline LTD as a Content & Community Marketing intern. I’m waiting to see if they offer me a full-time position. If not, I was offered another position as a copywriter at Zeno Group, which is a PR & communications firm based in New York City. In all, I’m really excited to see where my career takes me and thankful for the opportunities I’ve had here at Hood.
Tailyn Kite
I am an Early Childhood Education major. This summer after I graduate, I will be working as a camp counselor at Camp Curiosity in Harford County. I will be working with kids ages 6-10 to prepare for a teaching job in the fall.
Darby Hollinger
I am going to graduate school for my master of library science at Simmons University in Boston this fall. My concentration is in archives management and I hope to become a special collections librarian.
Caroline Jeranek
I am so grateful for my time at Hood. My experiences with Hood College Circle K International have helped me determine that my passion is serving others. In the fall I will begin a master’s of nonprofit management (location TBD). This program will better equip me with the skills necessary to understand and lead a nonprofit organization.
Ariel McConnell
My plan for after graduation is to continue my work with L.E.E.P to College Foundation Inc. as a full-time strategic marketing and communications specialist. I have been working with them throughout the semester as an intern assisting with the strategic marketing of their organization, as well as assisting them in their high school service-learning program. In the Spring of 2022, I will continue my education to obtain my master’s and work on getting certifications towards my areas of interest in digital and content marketing.
Asia McConnell
My plans for after graduation is to continue my internship with Marcum LLP full-time through the summer. I currently work as a managed accounting services intern for the firm, where I service a majority of nonprofit clients and a few for-profit clients as well. At the end of the summer, I hope to start as a full-time staff accountant in the same department. Concurrently, I will be taking a semester off from school and will return in spring 2022 to work toward obtaining my master’s in accounting from the University of Maryland Global Campus and will be studying to take the CPA.
Jordan Reed-Estes
I will be working for the US Department of the Navy as a civilian environmental compliance officer starting in August of this year working on resource management in the Chesapeake Bay Watershed.
Caylee Winpigler
Caylee M. Winpigler, a history and global studies double major, served as editor of Wisteria, the college’s literary magazine, and president of History Club. She has accomplishments on and off campus from writing an academic article about the First World War with Dr. Corey Campion to maintaining a Board of Trustee role at the Ausherman Family Foundation. In the fall of 2021, she will begin her master’s degree at American University studying International Relations with the hopes of one day finding a career in foreign affairs.
Victoria (Tori) Green
I plan to move to the Charleston area of South Carolina and pursue my dream of being an elementary school teacher. Additionally, I will be starting up my photography business, Victoria Lynn Photography, in South Carolina as well.
Natalie Kolosieke
Natalie Kolosieke, a senior economics major, will be joining the UPenn Independent School Teaching Residency this fall where she will teach AP Economics while getting her master’s in education.
