March Campus Crime

Four crimes and a power outage were reported on the Hood College campus throughout the month of March, according to the Office of Campus Safety.

Below is the information provided by Thurmond Maynard, chief of campus safety, via the campus safety daily crime logs.

March 2

At 10 p.m. there was a power outage reported at the New Residence Hall. The issue was referred to the Facilities Department.

March 4

At 2:41 a.m. a suspicious person was seen at the rear parking lot of Gambrill Gymnasium. The suspicious person was reported to Campus Safety.

March 9

At 12:12 a.m. there was vandalism reported at Hood Alley. The issue was referred to the local police department.

March 10

At 1:23 p.m. a bias incident was reported outside of the Joseph Henry Apple Academic Resource Center. The incident was referred to Bias Incident Response Team.

March 18

At 12:35 p.m. there was a sexual misconduct allegation reported at Smith Hall. The investigation is pending and was referred to the Title IX coordinator.
