Frosty Friday is set to continue in the city of Frederick amid tightened COVID-19 restrictions in Maryland.
Frosty Friday is an event that kicks off the holidays in Frederick by showcasing small businesses. The event will take place on Nov. 27 in downtown Frederick where you can shop locally and participate in other activities.
This year Frosty Friday is packed with things to do including shopping, live music, a cocktail competition and a scavenger hunt. The most noticeable activity of the event will be the holiday lights.
Each year the trees on Market Street are covered in lights in celebration of the holidays being here. Local businesses also decorate their shops each year.
The city of Frederick has made a lot of adjustments this year to make sure the event is safe during the pandemic. Masks are being required inside and outside wherever social distancing is not achievable.
Many restaurants have added heated outdoor dining this year as well as curbside pickup. Many businesses are also participating in curbside pick-up options, Shop ‘n Ship one-stop shops, and online shopping experiences.
While this year’s Frosty Friday will undoubtedly be different, the city of Frederick is looking to make the most out of the situation. For more information visit the Downtown Partnership website.
