Deadlines to register to vote and request mail-in ballots are quickly approaching.
The deadline to register to vote in Maryland is Tuesday, Oct.13, and the deadline to request a mail-in ballot is Tuesday, Oct. 20. If you miss either deadline, Maryland does allow same-day registration at the polls.
Early voting begins Oct. 26 and ends Nov. 2. On election day, Nov. 3, students can register to vote in person and cast their ballots immediately.
The Hood College Democrats are actively registering students to vote, according to club president, junior RaphaellaHenson-Vendrell.
“Brooks Anderson, the vice president of the club, and I have also been holding virtual meetings just to discuss the election, and what students’ thoughts are on the candidates,” Henson-Vendrell said.
The Hood College Republicans didn’t respond to requests to comment on the election.
