Hood College will host its annual “Suit-Up” event to give students access to professional clothing on Saturday, April 26, at the Francis Scott Key Mall.

The national event, sponsored by JCPenney, offers significant discounts on items such as professoinal clothing, accessories, salon services and cosmetics.

“Our first time hosting the event was last year, and we’d love to see more students—especially those seeking internships or jobs—take advantage of this opportunity to build a professional wardrobe,” said Lisa Littlefield, dean of the Center for Career Development and Experiential Education at Hood College.

The event will be held at the JCPenney store located in the Francis Scott Key Mall from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. The first 20 attendees will receive a $20 JCPenney gift card.

In addition to the Suit-Up event, Hood’s Career Center provides year-round support through its on-campus “career closet,” which offers students free access to professional clothing in a variety of sizes and styles.

The Career Center also features a LinkedIn photobooth, allowing students to take a professional headshot for their profiles. Students are welcome to borrow attire from the career closet for their photo sessions.
